Welcome to my blog about my trip to Mvuma Zimbabwe. I have arranged to be there for 3 months beginning Jan 1, 2003.
For those of you new to blogging, here's a brief introduction. A 'blog' is short for 'web log' which is basically an online journal. There are thousands, maybe millions on the web as we speak. Teenagers are doin' it. Gen X'ers are doin' it. AARP members are doin' it. I bet a few NRA members are doin' it too. Some have themes. Some are philosophical. Some are political. Some are experimental. Some are serious. Some are social. Some are funny and some are not. People post for a variety of reasons. Some are aspiring writers, some are cybergeeks, others are activists, others are exhibitionists and still others are doing thier therapy homework. You get the gist. There are as many variations and permutations as there are people doin' it. Yes, I am still talking about blogging. And, yes that was in the spirit of Dr. Seuss but I haven't seen the movie yet. One of my favorites is vanhee.org and is about life as a medical resident at the University of Washington.
So, if you want to be a reader of my blog, all you have to do is bookmark my address: http://angus.blogs.com/mvuma/ and check it every so often to see what I am up to. I am just now learning a bit about html so you probably noticed I have gone a little link happy. Anything blue, click on it and see where it takes you. You may also post comments about each entry by clicking on the comment link below.
Hey, this is cool, I wanna do it too, you say. But how? There are websites to teach you how to blog. There are web log resource pages. You can even buy books about blogging.
